Role/ Position Overview: We are seeking a young, dynamic, highly presentable, and technology-driven Nursing Head to lead and transform nursing operations across the hospital. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring world-class patient care standards, nursing excellence, workforce productivity, compliance with accreditation requirements, digital nursing practices, patient satisfaction, and continuous quality improvement. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage large nursing teams, drive process standardization, handle grievances professionally, and champion paperless nursing operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Nursing Operations Leadership

  • Lead and manage the entire nursing function across departments.
  • Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centric nursing care.
  • Develop and implement nursing protocols, SOPs, and clinical best practices.
  • Monitor nursing quality indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure optimum nursing manpower planning and utilization.

2. Team Management & Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop nursing supervisors and staff nurses.
  • Build a high-performance nursing culture focused on accountability and patient outcomes.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and competency assessments.
  • Manage workforce scheduling, deployment, and succession planning.

3. Patient Experience & Grievance Handling

  • Address and resolve patient and attendant grievances effectively.
  • Ensure high patient satisfaction scores.
  • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to improve service delivery.
  • Act as a key escalation point for nursing-related concerns.

4. Quality, Compliance & Accreditation

  • Ensure adherence to NABH, JCI, infection control, and patient safety standards.
  • Drive quality improvement projects and audit compliance.
  • Participate in accreditation preparation and surveillance activities.
  • Monitor nursing documentation and clinical governance standards.

5. Digital Transformation & Technology Adoption

  • Lead adoption of paperless nursing practices.
  • Drive utilization of Hospital Information Systems (HIS), EMR/EHR, nursing dashboards, and digital reporting platforms.
  • Ensure accurate and timely electronic nursing documentation.
  • Support AI-enabled and technology-driven nursing initiatives.

6. Training & Development

  • Design and implement nursing training programs.
  • Conduct orientation and skill enhancement initiatives.
  • Promote evidence-based nursing practices.
  • Ensure continuous learning and professional development within the nursing team.

7. Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate closely with doctors, quality teams, operations, HR, and administration.
  • Participate in hospital committees and leadership forums.
  • Represent nursing services in management reviews and quality meetings.

Desired Candidate Profile:Must Have

  • 12+ years of nursing experience with significant leadership exposure.
  • Prior experience managing large nursing teams in a multi-speciality hospital.
  • Strong grievance and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly presentable and confident personality.
  • Experience with paperless reporting and digital nursing workflows.
  • Strong understanding of nursing processes, clinical protocols, patient safety, and quality standards.
  • Exposure to NABH/JCI accredited hospitals.
  • Ability to lead change and drive process improvements.

Preferred

  • Experience in large tertiary-care or quaternary-care hospitals.
  • Exposure to digital healthcare transformation projects.
  • Experience working with EMR/EHR/HIS platforms.
  • Certification in quality, patient safety, or nursing administration would be advantageous.
