JOB TITLE : Quality Manager POSITION DESCRIPTION : The Quality Manager will be responsible for leading the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) functions across all construction activities for a high-end residential development project in Gurugram, India. The project includes 8 high-rise apartment towers with a total built-up area of approximately 690,000 m. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Quality Manager will develop and oversee project-specific quality systems and procedures in line with client requirements, regulatory codes, and international best practices. This role involves overseeing the implementation of inspection and test plans (ITPs), managing quality documentation, coordinating audits, ensuring compliance with approved materials and methods, and liaising with contractors and consultants to resolve quality-related issues. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILIITES : - Develop and implement a comprehensive Project Quality Plan, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), checklists, and QA/QC procedures. - Supervise and coordinate all quality control activities across civil, architectural, MEP, and fit-out works. - Review and approve contractor quality plans, material submittals, method statements, and mock-up protocols. - Monitor site execution and ensure that all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality benchmarks. - Lead internal and external quality audits, document non-conformities (NCRs), and follow up on corrective/preventive actions. - Ensure materials delivered to site meet project specifications and maintain proper documentation for approvals. - Coordinate with consultants and third-party testing agencies for witnessing inspections and laboratory tests. - Maintain records of daily inspection reports, test certificates, punch lists, and completion documentation. - Participate in progress review and coordination meetings; provide updates on quality issues and risks. - Lead quality training and awareness sessions for site personnel and subcontractors. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : - Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. - Minimum 15 years of QA/QC experience in the construction of large-scale high-rise or mixed-use residential/commercial developments. - In-depth knowledge of construction quality systems, inspection protocols, material testing, and regulatory compliance. - Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project documentation platforms. - Familiarity with Indian building codes and international standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, BS, IS codes). - Strong reporting, documentation, and communication skills in English; local language ability is mandatory. - Willingness to work full-time at the project site in Gurugram, India.
