We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Consultant. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in ABAP programming and a proven track record of delivering custom developments, enhancements, and integrations within SAP environments (ECC and S/4HANA). This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing ABAP solutions, collaborating with functional teams, and ensuring compliance with coding standards and performance benchmarks. The consultant will support digital transformation initiatives, mentor junior developers, and contribute to solution design workshops.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF). Work on ABAP Objects, CDS Views, OData services, and Fiori/UI5 integration. Support SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, PP, HR, etc.) with technical developments and enhancements. Optimize performance of ABAP code and ensure adherence to best practices. Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operations. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to backlog refinement. Document technical specifications and maintain development standards. Mentor junior developers and support solution design workshops. Must-Have Skills Strong hands-on experience with SAP ABAP (RICEF, ABAP Objects, CDS Views, OData). Experience with SAP S/4HANA and ECC environments. Knowledge of Fiori/UI5 integration and SAP Gateway services. Proficiency in debugging, performance tuning, and optimization. Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Good-to-Have Skills Exposure to SAP Workflow, ALE/IDocs, and BAPIs. Experience with SAP HANA database and SQL scripting. Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, CI/CD). SAP ABAP certification. Agile mindset with proactive contribution to team success.
