Lead GST compliance engagements, including return preparation, review, and filing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory timelines, Support clients in handling pre-GST assessments and ongoing disputes by developing robust technical positions, Drive GST refund engagements, including application preparation, tracking, and follow-ups to ensure timely realization, Perform detailed reconciliations of financial data with GST returns and GSTR 2B, identifying gaps and recommending corrective action.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement Execution: High-quality delivery as per client requirements, GST returns, ensuring timely payment of statutory taxes, and reconciliation of GST payable and paid.
- Review and Reconciliation: Conduct thorough reviews of working papers and client folders. Manage reconciliation of returns with the books of accounts and GSTR 2B, ensuring timely completion of all GST-related compliances. (40% of job role would be in to GST compliances)
- Response to Authorities: Prepare and submit responses to various authorities related to indirect taxes, demonstrating expertise and understanding of the field. Represented tribunal independently. (60% of the job role would be in to Litigation)
- GST Refunds and Litigation: Manage GST refunds, follow up and liaison with the tax department. Prepare for pre-GST assessments and handle ongoing litigations.
- Advisory Services: Provide expert advice related to indirect taxes, including GST and customs, helping clients navigate complex tax scenarios.
Skills Required
- Should have a b background in the field of Indirect taxes .
- Specific experience in GST compliance, litigation and advisory
