Your profile Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field Minimum five years of experience in production IT infrastructure management, preferably in energy, utilities, or industrial automation Strong expertise in GNU/Linux system administration (Ubuntu/Debian, CentOS/RHEL) and troubleshooting Proficient in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python) Experience with virtualization (KVM, QEMU, VMware ESXi), containers (Docker, Podman), and orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift) Familiarity with network administration (IPv4/IPv6, routing, firewall, VPN, VLAN) Experience with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) Knowledge of monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus) and logging (ElasticSearch, Kibana) tools Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to train and guide team members Fluent in English (German is a plus) Willingness to learn new technologies and domains; motivation to become a specialist in automation technologies Your responsibilities Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems in both physical and virtualized environments Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and configuration management Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions for scalable and reliable SAS platforms Implement and manage disaster recovery solutions for virtual environments Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure SAS platforms Participate in customer training, documentation, and support activities Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and grid automation standards Contribute to the design and integration of new systems for SAS and power automation projects Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies in DevOps, automation, and grid solutions Your opportunities for personal growth You will be part of a future-oriented products team and contribute to developing our Energy business, which is strategically important for Siemens Energy in becoming a leading digital company.
