The Strategic RD Leader, shoulders a critical role in driving innovation and ensuring the company's technological edge is scaled up. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced incumbent who will be responsible for driving innovation in ink formulations, developing alternate new materials and reduce the turnaround time with a clear strategic roadmap.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Understand technological trends in existing product range/new materials and introduce alternate material or material that can make product more efficient.
Introduction of various methods in product development process, alternate material uses which will help in cost reduction without compromising on quality of the product.
Can develop new product as per the specifications given the by the customers 1) it can be entirely a new product or 2) development of the product with some added features.
Updated of the technological development happening in the required field
Assign and expedite flow of work and provide direction to Product Development department personnel.
Establish priorities for completion of various projects.
Provide estimates to the sales / costing department, within established budgetary and time limits.
Reviews, approves, and presents final layouts to customer or sales department for approval.
Sets guidelines for new generation products.

Education + Experience
20+ years of experience in Product Development in Specialty / Smart coatings/ polymer/adhesives/substrates
Experience in developing new products and alternate materials, including material testing
Industry preference: Membrane Switches Printing.
Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles.
Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues.
Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
Creativity and the ability to think outside the box in product development
Attention to detail combined with a thorough, meticulous method of working
Time management to meet tight deadlines
Good communication skills
The ability to work as part of a team in a pressured environment
Experience in developing new products and alternate materials, including material testing
