We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day logistics and distribution operations, ensuring operational excellence and timely product deliveries across Delhi.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager with proven experience in the Dairy or FMCG industry. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in last-mile operations, depot management, distribution, fleet coordination, and team leadership. The role requires regular depot visits to monitor operations, drive process improvements, and ensure seamless execution of daily logistics activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end operations, including last-mile delivery and distribution.
- Conduct regular depot visits to monitor operational performance and ensure process compliance.
- Oversee daily dispatch, transportation, and delivery operations.
- Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, supply chain, and sales teams for smooth business operations.
- Monitor delivery performance, fleet utilization, and operational KPIs.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Ensure timely product deliveries while maintaining high service standards.
- Manage third-party logistics partners and transport vendors.
- Lead, train, and supervise operations and logistics teams.
- Maintain operational reports, MIS, and performance dashboards.
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Drive cost optimization and improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Operations Management and Last Mile Logistics.
- Mandatory experience in the Dairy or FMCG industry.
- Hands-on experience in depot operations and regular depot visits.
- Knowledge of distribution, transportation, and fleet management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics/ERP systems.
Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Operations or Supply Chain preferred).
- 5?10 years of relevant experience in Operations, Logistics, Distribution, or Supply Chain.
- Experience managing large field teams and multiple depots will be preferred.
