Role Overview:
Score Code is hiring experienced AWS and Azure Cloud Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Site Reliability Engineers (SRE), DevOps Leads, and Senior Cloud Architects to build, modernize, and scale secure, resilient, and high-performing cloud platforms.
This is an onsite contractual opportunity in Australia with an initial 2-year renewable contract.

This role is designed for professionals with varying levels of experience who are passionate about AWS, Azure, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Automation, Platform Engineering, and Cloud Transformation. Depending on your experience, you will contribute as an individual engineer, lead technical teams, drive reliability initiatives, or define enterprise cloud architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, or Ansible.
- Support enterprise cloud migration, application modernization, and hybrid cloud transformation initiatives.
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS/ECS, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Collaborate with application development, QA, security, networking, and infrastructure teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability using:
- AWS: CloudWatch, CloudTrail
- Azure: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights
- Design and implement cloud security best practices including IAM, networking, encryption, governance, and compliance.
- Troubleshoot production issues, improve system reliability, and participate in incident management.
- Drive automation, platform engineering, and DevOps best practices across engineering teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership (Lead/Architect roles).
Required Skills & Experience
Cloud Engineer (AWS/Azure) 4 to 10 Years
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Good understanding of cloud networking, security, and monitoring.
- Scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
DevOps Lead / SRE ? 7 to 10 Years
- Strong experience designing and managing enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
- Expertise in AWS and/or Azure infrastructure automation.
- Experience leading DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE teams.
- Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, incident management, and system reliability.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and cloud governance.
Senior Cloud Architect (AWS/Azure) ? 11+ Years
- Deep expertise designing enterprise-scale AWS and/or Azure cloud architectures.
- Extensive experience with cloud migration, hybrid cloud, and modernization programs.
- Strong architectural knowledge of networking, security, disaster recovery, and high availability.
- Experience defining cloud strategy, governance, landing zones, and platform standards.
- Proven leadership in mentoring engineering teams and driving enterprise cloud adoption.
