Role & responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for mustard seeds, packaging materials, and other production inputs.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best quality, pricing, and delivery terms.
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials for continuous production.
- Plan and monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and overstocking.
- Coordinate with production, quality, warehouse, and sales teams for smooth operations.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation and dispatch planning.
- Monitor warehouse operations and ensure proper storage of raw materials and finished goods.
- Optimize logistics costs while maintaining delivery timelines.
- Track supplier performance and maintain long-term vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, statutory requirements, and company procurement policies.
- Prepare procurement budgets, purchase orders, inventory reports, and logistics performance reports.
- Implement ERP/MIS systems for procurement and inventory management.
- Lead and mentor the procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams.
