Role and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a female Security Executive, who will assist in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining security operations across the university campus to ensure a safe, secure, and well-managed environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
This role involves active supervision of deployed security staff, coordination with security service providers, real-time incident management, and adherence to institutional security policies and legal requirements. The Security Executive is expected to combine operational efficiency with professionalism and integrity in all aspects of campus safety.
Key Responsibilities
    • Operational Security Management
      • Support the Head of Security in executing daily and special security operations.
      • Oversee the effective deployment and performance of outsourced security personnel across the campus.
      • Conduct regular patrols of academic, residential, and administrative areas to identify and address security risks.
      • Ensure all security posts are manned as per deployment schedules and that guard rotations are managed efficiently.
      • Coordinate access control and visitor management for campus events, conferences, and high-profile visits.
    • Incident Response Investigation
      • Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, ensuring swift containment and escalation where necessary.
      • Conduct preliminary investigations, gather evidence, and prepare detailed reports on incidents and irregularities.
      • Maintain accurate and timely records of daily activities, patrols, and observations in the Security Management System or logbooks.
      • Liaise with local law enforcement or emergency services when required and maintain proper documentation of such interactions.
    • Policy Enforcement Compliance
      • Ensure adherence to all campus safety policies, access control procedures, and disciplinary regulations.
      • Enforce vehicle movement, parking, and visitor protocols as per approved guidelines.
      • Ensure compliance with state laws, fire safety regulations, and institutional safety standards.
      • Assist in regular inspections, audits, and drills for security and fire preparedness.
    • Reporting Coordination
      • Maintain accurate, updated records of security incidents, personnel attendance, and post duties.
      • Prepare periodic security reports, highlighting trends, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
      • Coordinate closely with other departments - Facilities, Student Affairs, and Events - to ensure security preparedness and support for all university functions.
      • Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and visitors while maintaining professional decorum.
Key Skills
    • Sound knowledge of modern security operations and emergency response procedures.
    • Ability to supervise and motivate large, outsourced teams effectively.
    • Strong observation and surveillance skills, with attention to detail.
    • Good understanding of security and fire inspection standards.
    • Proficiency in report writing and use of basic security management systems or digital monitoring tools.
    • Ability to coordinate with civil administration and local authorities when required.
    • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
    • Willing to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
    • Certification or formal training in security management, industrial security, or safety (e.g., PSARA, NSDC Security courses).
    • Prior experience in a university, large campus, or industrial estate setup.
    • Knowledge of CCTV operations, fire alarm systems, and incident management systems.
