ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a fresher architect to join the Design & Construction team and assist with day-to-day drawing, drafting, and design support work. Some of our projects are on hilly sites in Himachal Pradesh, so the role also requires working knowledge of Google Earth/KML files and basic comfort with site maps and survey drawings. We are looking for someone sincere, willing to learn, and comfortable with basic design software.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist senior architects in preparing drawings ? plans, elevations, sections ? in AutoCAD.
- Help prepare simple 3D models/massing in SketchUp for design presentations.
- Support day-to-day drafting changes, revisions, and corrections as directed.
- Assist in preparing presentation sheets and basic renders for client/management meetings.
- Help organize and maintain project drawings and files in an orderly manner.
- Open, view, and mark up site maps and KML files in Google Earth for project sites.
- Assist with basic site measurements and documentation during site visits.
- Provide general support to the design team as needed on live projects.
SKILLS EXPECTED
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D drafting) ? this is the main requirement.
- Basic knowledge of SketchUp (or willingness to learn it quickly).
- Basic computer skills ? MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of Google Earth and KML files ? this is a must.
- Basic understanding of architectural drawings from college coursework/internship.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits.
- Good attitude, sincerity, and willingness to learn ? more important than existing expertise.
