Job Summary
Responsible for maintenance, programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and performance improvement of industrial robots used across tyre manufacturing processes. Ensure high equipment availability, safe operations, and continuous automation improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of robotic systems.
- Program, modify, and troubleshoot KUKA, FANUC, and ABB robots.
- Diagnose and resolve robot controller, servo drive, teach pendant, communication, and motion-related issues.
- Support robot installation, commissioning, and production start-up activities.
- Integrate robots with PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, sensors, conveyors, and other automation equipment.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
- Optimize robot cycle time, productivity, and process efficiency.
- Maintain robot backups, documentation, and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with machine safety and robotic safety standards.
- Train maintenance and production personnel on robot operation and troubleshooting.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with KUKA, FANUC, and ABB industrial robots.
- Strong knowledge of robot programming, robot controllers, teach pendants, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, industrial networking, and automation systems.
- Knowledge of electrical schematics, sensors, pneumatics, and motion control systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Automation, or related disciplines.
Experience
- 4 - 10 years of experience in industrial robotics and automation within process manufacturing industries.
