Job Summary
Hardware Test Engineer with experience in hardware testing, test setup preparation, test report generation, schematic design, and PCB layout review. The candidate will be responsible for designing, validating, testing, and improving electronic hardware systems while ensuring compliance with quality and performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronic hardware circuits and subsystems based on product requirements.
- Prepare and configure hardware test setups for board-level and system-level validation.
- Execute functional, electrical, environmental, EMIEMC and performance testing of hardware products.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed test reports and technical documentation.
- Create and modify schematics.
- Conduct PCB layout reviews to ensure signal integrity, power integrity, manufacturability, and compliance with design guidelines.
- Collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams during product development.
- Support prototype bring-up, debugging, and validation activities.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, quality processes, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
- Hands-on experience in hardware testing and validation.
- Experience in preparing and maintaining test setups and test environments.
- Expertise in test report preparation and documentation.
- knowledge in schematic design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, Cadence, or similar.
- Experience in PCB layout review and design verification.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Power Supplies, Function Generators, and Multimeters.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of EMC/EMI, signal integrity, and power integrity concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with embedded hardware platforms and microcontrollers.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and DFM/DFT principles.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and product certification processes.
