Role Summary
The Assistant Manager Public Relations will be responsible for driving the organization's external communication strategy, strengthening media relationships, enhancing brand reputation, and supporting internal communication initiatives. The role requires an experienced communication professional capable of independently managing PR
campaigns, media engagement, leadership communication, and crisis response while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Media Relations & Public Relations
- Develop and execute strategic PR plans aligned with business objectives.
- Draft press releases, media notes, speeches and communication assets.
- Build relationships with journalists, editors, influencers and media partners.
? Coordinate media interviews, press conferences and launches.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare PR reports.
Corporate Communications
? Manage external corporate messaging and leadership communication.
- Ensure consistency across communication channels.
- Collaborate with global and regional communication teams.
Digital & Social Communications
- Manage LinkedIn and digital communication.
- Drive employer branding and leadership visibility campaigns.
- Develop engaging corporate content.
Internal Communications
- Execute internal communication campaigns.
- Develop newsletters, employee stories and leadership updates.
Crisis Communication
? Handle communication during reputational or operational issues. ? Prepare statements, FAQs and media responses.
Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related field.
? Postgraduate qualification preferred.
