.1 Corporate Governance
- Ensure the hotel company complies with the Companies Act, 2013 and other applicable laws.
- Advise the Board of Directors on governance best practices.
- Organize and manage board meetings, AGM/EGM, and maintain minutes.
2. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with hospitality-specific regulations such as:
- Tourism and hotel licensing
- Food safety regulations under Food Safety and Standards Authority of India
- Local municipal laws, fire safety, and environmental norms
- File returns and documents with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs
3. Legal & Secretarial Functions
- Maintain statutory registers, records, and company documents.
- Draft contracts, agreements (e.g., franchise, management contracts).
- Handle legal documentation related to property leases or ownership.
4. Licensing & Permits
- Ensure timely renewal and compliance of:
- Hotel licenses
- Liquor licenses
- Health and safety permits
- Coordinate with local authorities for approvals and inspections.
