We are seeking a dynamic and strategic candidates to join the Category marketing team as a Product Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong passion for solving consumer problems and marketing. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded skill set that includes excellent communication, analytical thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities. They will be responsible for driving the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for our products, and will play a crucial role in ensuring their success in the market by collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
Primary Objective: To design & develop product strategy for positive effectiveness in terms of topline, bottom line and complete lifecycle management on the sub-category; keeping close co-ordination with concerned departments within or outside organisation.
Role & responsibilities:
- Design & Develop product strategy to deliver topline and bottom line
- Plan yearly budget in alignment with the business plans.
- Continuously evaluate product decisions, Pricing policy, Channel mix, Sales plan and Marketing plan to ensure effective delivery of business requirements.
- Lead product planning efforts; develop and implement strategies for product mix, pricing, market segmentation, and distribution networks.
- Develop market intelligence and perform Industry competition analysis to identify opportunities. Portfolio benchmarking with competition to ensure leads for product development and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with:
- Sales for periodic tracking of sales in line with annual plan through various reports. Analyse the movement of the product to conceptualize & provide immediate feedback on areas requiring focus to sales stakeholders.
- Service & quality team to review the improvements in product quality and identify opportunities to improve service to end consumers.
- R&D for new product development, product upgrades and incorporate any technical changes in the existing products..
- SCM team for forecasting & inventory planning.
- Internal and external stakeholders to create positioning and develop marketing collaterals.
- Branding team for ATL and BTL activities.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Graduation or MBA/ PGDM from premium institutes
- Preference for candidates with knowledge in Product management and business development, Product strategy formation and Brand management
- Work Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in category marketing, marketing with FMCD Sales as ASM for minimum 1 year will be preferred.
