This role is ideal for a seasoned AWS architect who combines deep AI expertise with executive-level leadership and customer delivery excellence

Preferred candidate profile

We are looking for a very senior AWS AI & Cloud Architect to lead the architecture,delivery, and governance of enterprise-scale AI and GenAI solutions on AWS. This role requires deep hands-on expertise across the AWS AI/ML stack, strong customer-facing leadership, and the ability to manage and mentor senior AI technical leaders embedded in customer environments.

The role operates at the intersection of technology strategy, solution architecture, AI engineering excellence, and executive advisory, serving as a trusted partner to customer CXOs and internal leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. AI & Cloud Architecture Leadership

ò Own end-to-end architecture for AI, GenAI, and data-driven solutions built on AWS Cloud.

ò Define reference architectures, design patterns, and architectural guardrails aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework.

ò Lead architecture decisions for mission-critical, high-scale AI platforms across multiple customer programs.

ò Serve as final escalation point for complex architecture, performance, security,and cost challenges.

2. Generative AI & Amazon AI Services

ò Architect and govern enterprise GenAI solutions using:

• Amazon Bedrock (Claude, Llama, Titan, Amazon models)
• Amazon SageMaker (training, inference, pipelines)
• Amazon Q (Business, Developer, custom assistants)

ò Design advanced GenAI patterns:

• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Agentic workflows and multi-agent systems
• Tool/function calling and orchestration

ò Define Responsible AI, security, and governance frameworks for GenAI adoption.

3. AWS Data & AI Platform Architecture

ò Lead architecture for scalable data and AI platforms using:

• S3, Glue, Lake Formation
• Redshift, Athena, EMR
• OpenSearch (vector search)

ò Design secure, multi-account AI platforms using AWS Control Tower and

landing zones.

ò Ensure high availability, resiliency, and performance for AI workloads.

4. MLOps, LLMOps & Engineering Excellence

ò Define and enforce MLOps / LLMOps standards:

• CI/CD for ML and GenAI pipelines
• Model lifecycle management and governance
• Prompt versioning, evaluation, and observability

ò Establish best practices for:

• Model performance monitoring
• Bias detection and drift management
• Cost optimization and token usage governance

5. Security, Compliance & Responsible AI

ò Architect AI systems with strong focus on:

• IAM, least privilege, encryption, and network isolation
• Data privacy and sovereignty
• Secure GenAI patterns (prompt injection, data leakage prevention)

ò Ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards (GDPR, SOC2, ISO,

HIPAA, etc.).

6. Customer & Executive Engagement

ò Act as Chief / Principal AI Architect for strategic customer accounts.

ò Lead architecture discussions with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and business leaders.

ò Translate complex business challenges into scalable AWS AI roadmaps.

ò Support pre-sales and growth activities including:

• Solution shaping
• Technical due diligence
• RFP responses and architecture defenses

7. People & Technical Leadership

ò Lead and mentor senior AI architects, principal engineers, and technical

leaders deployed at customer sites.

ò Establish architecture review boards and communities of practice.

ò Drive consistent architecture standards across accounts.

ò Coach leaders on customer engagement, technical depth, and executive

communication.

• Multi-account strategy, VPC design, networking
• Security & identity (IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager)

ò Infrastructure as Code

• CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform

ò Amazon Bedrock (model selection, orchestration, guardrails)

ò Amazon SageMaker

• Training, tuning, deployment
• Feature Store, Pipelines, Model Registry

ò Amazon Q (enterprise AI assistants)

ò Vector databases & search

• OpenSearch, Pinecone, FAISS (AWS-hosted)

Data & Integration

ò Data lakes and analytics on AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift)

ò Streaming & event-driven architectures (Kinesis, MSK)

ò API & microservices architecture (API Gateway, Lambda, ECS/EKS)

DevOps, MLOps & Observability

ò CI/CD tools (CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

ò Monitoring & logging (CloudWatch, X-Ray)

ò Model and prompt observability frameworks

Experience & Qualifications

ò 15+ years of overall IT experience.

ò 8 to 10+ years in enterprise or principal architect roles.

ò Proven experience delivering large-scale AI / GenAI solutions on AWS.

ò Strong background in customer-facing consulting or services delivery.

ò Experience managing senior architects and technical leaders.

ò Prior role as Principal Architect, Distinguished Engineer, or Chief Architect

preferred.
