Job Summary
Ciena India Private Limited is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Analyst to support our legal team. This role involves assisting with various legal matters, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the efficient operation of the legal department.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of topics, including corporate law, contracts, intellectual property, and data privacy.
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, policies, and internal memoranda.
Manage and organize legal documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Support the legal team in litigation matters, including discovery and document production.
Monitor and analyze changes in relevant laws and regulations, providing summaries and recommendations to the legal team.
Assist with compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external legal requirements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to provide legal support and guidance.
Prepare reports and presentations on legal matters as required.
Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the legal department.
Job Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) or a related field from a recognized university.
1-3 years of experience as a Legal Analyst or in a similar legal support role, preferably within a technology or telecommunications company.
Strong legal research and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of Indian corporate law and intellectual property law is a plus.
