Job Summary
Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is seeking a proactive and safety-focused professional for the position of Officer EHS at our API manufacturing facility in Ankleshwar. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) practices to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with EHS policies, SOPs, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions and acts.
- Monitor the use of PPE and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
- Assist in safety audits, risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and incident investigations.
- Maintain EHS records, reports, permits, and statutory documentation.
- Conduct safety induction and awareness training programs for employees and contractors.
- Monitor hazardous waste management and environmental compliance activities.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, mock drills, and firefighting systems.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams for safe operations.
- Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Pollution Control Board norms, and other applicable regulations.
Qualification
- B.Sc./M.Sc. (Environmental Science/Chemistry)
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical, Environmental, or Safety Engineering
- Diploma in Industrial Safety preferred
Experience
- 1?3 years of experience in EHS within Pharmaceutical, API, Chemical, or Manufacturing industries.
