Role & responsibilities
- Develop and execute the annual risk-based internal audit plan.
- Conduct financial, operational, process, and compliance audits across manufacturing units.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
- Identify business risks and suggest practical risk mitigation measures.
- Review Internal Financial Controls (IFC) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Assess business processes to improve operational efficiency and optimize costs.
- Identify potential fraud risks and recommend preventive controls.
- Coordinate with plant teams, process owners, and external auditors during audit assignments.
- Prepare audit reports, present findings to management, and track corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and statutory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through process reviews and best practices.
- Leverage SAP and data analytics to enhance audit effectiveness and reporting
Preferred candidate profile
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- 810 years of experience in Internal Audit, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Prior experience with a reputed consulting/audit firm (Big 4, Grant Thornton, BDO, Protiviti, or equivalent) will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Internal Financial Controls (IFC), risk management, and internal controls.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and data analytics tools.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, operational audits, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple audit assignments, and travel to manufacturing plants, if required.
