About the Role
We are looking for a proactive Sourcing Executive to identify, onboard, and manage transport vendors for our intracity logistics operations. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with fleet owners and transport vendors, ensure seamless onboarding, and support daily operations by coordinating vehicle availability and freight quotations.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Sourcing & Development
- Identify and connect with transport vendors, fleet owners, and vehicle operators for intracity logistics.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across transport hubs, transport nagars, and logistics clusters.
- Expand the vendor network to ensure adequate vehicle availability.
Vendor Onboarding
- Guide vendors through the onboarding process and documentation requirements.
- Verify and capture accurate vendor and vehicle information in the system.
- Ensure timely completion of onboarding formalities.
Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with transport vendors to obtain competitive freight quotations for new business enquiries.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely responses and vehicle availability.
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendor-related operational requirements.
Vendor Engagement
- Develop long-term relationships with transport partners.
- Drive vendor participation and improve engagement through regular communication and support.
- Resolve vendor queries and coordinate with internal teams for smooth operations.
Data & Reporting
- Maintain updated vendor and vehicle databases.
- Ensure accuracy of vendor records and operational information.
- Prepare regular reports on vendor performance and sourcing activities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of vendors onboarded per month
- Vendor engagement and retention
- Response time for freight quotation requests
- Vehicle availability and vendor participation
- Accuracy of vendor database and documentation
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation abilities
- Comfortable with field visits and meeting transport vendors
- Good coordination and follow-up skills
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets
- Understanding of logistics and vehicle categories is an added advantage
Eligibility
- Graduate in any discipline
- Experience: 03 years in Logistics Operations, Vendor Management, Procurement, Transport Operations, or Supply Chain
- Freshers with relevant internships or strong interest in logistics are encouraged to apply
