Job Description

Purpose/Objective To manage on-ground security operations during assigned shifts by ensuring strict adherence to security protocols and procedures. The Duty Shift Officer ensures operational vigilance through effective patrolling, surveillance, access control, and incident response, acting as the frontline for site security operations. The role directly supports the Site Security Operations Officer in maintaining a secure and controlled environment

Key Responsibilities: of Role Shift Supervision: - Supervise and coordinate the activities of security guards during the assigned shift to ensure compliance with SOPs and site-specific security guidelines. - Conduct roll calls, brief security staff on their responsibilities, and assign duties based on operational priorities.

Access Control: - Oversee the operation of access control points for personnel, vehicles, and materials, ensuring adherence to site protocols. (Knowledge of SAP for Material movement and KRONOS for OMP entry permit) - Verify credentials of visitors and employees, report any unauthorized access attempts, and escalate issues to the Site Security Operations Officer. Surveillance and Patrolling: - Monitor surveillance systems (e. g. , CCTV, alarms) during the shift to ensure continuous vigilance. - Conduct regular patrolling of high-risk zones, reporting any abnormalities or potential security threats. - Document patrol findings and ensure logs are complete and accurate. Incident Response: - Act as the first responder during incidents, alarms, or emergencies, ensuring appropriate action is taken per SOPs. - Notify the Site Security Operations Officer immediately in case of critical incidents. - Prepare preliminary incident reports and ensure accurate documentation. Equipment Checks: - Perform routine checks of security equipment, including cameras, alarms, and access control systems, to ensure functionality during the shift. - Report any equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team and Site Security Operations Officer. Compliance and Reporting: - Maintain accurate and up-to-date shift logs, incident records, and access control registers. - Conduct daily shift handover briefings, ensuring smooth continuity of operations. Performance Management - Evaluate third-party personnel performance and provide feedback for improvement - Manage manpower / officers as per the assigned shifts, and according to the type of shift Technical Competencies Crisis and Incident Management-SVC,Financial Acumen (Budget management, Costing, etc)-SVC,Fire Safety-SVC,In Line Baggage Holding and Screening (ILBHS) Management-SVC,Intelligence and Vigilance-SVC,Investigation and Due Diligence-SVC,Knowledge of Emergency safety and health procedures-SVC,Knowledge of Security Protocols-SVC,Security Control Room Operations Management (Traffic, CCTV Feed, SOCR)-SVC,Security Governance (Regulations and Compliance)-SVC,Security Infra Planning, Design, and Integration-SVC,Systems & Technology Management-SVC Qualifications and Experience Educational Qualification: Bachelor?s degree in any field (preferred in Security, Criminology, or similar disciplines). Basic training in emergency response, access control systems, or surveillance equipment is advantageous. Work Experience (Range of years): 1-3 years of experience or relevant internship with Adani group in a security role, preferably at industrial, commercial, or critical infrastructure sites. Familiarity with surveillance systems, access control processes, and emergency response protocols
