Role & responsibilities
- Manage daily inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Arrange vehicles and coordinate with transporters for timely dispatch.
- Negotiate freight rates and maintain transporter relationships.
- Monitor vehicle movement and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, sales and accounts teams.
- Verify transport documents and ensure GST and e-way bill compliance.
- Check freight bills and monitor logistics costs and performance.
- Optimise routes, vehicle utilisation and freight expenses.
- Maintain dispatch records and handle delays, damages and escalations.
- Prepare MIS reports and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Evaluate transporter performance and ensure safety and compliance.
- Supervise logistics and dispatch team members.
Preferred candidate profile
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch or supply chain operations.
- Experience in a manufacturing plant, ethanol plant, distillery, FMCG, agro-processing, chemicals, cement, steel or a similar industry.
- Experience in managing bulk material or high-volume dispatch operations will be preferred.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a notice period of up to 30 days will be preferred.
