Senior Software Engineer :
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer on a contractual basis with strong experience in JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS/ExpressJS, and MongoDB. The candidate should be able to independently design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services.
They should also be comfortable using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using ReactJS and NodeJS.
- Build robust APIs and backend services using ExpressJS.
- Work with MongoDB for schema design, queries, optimization, and data modelling.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering teams to deliver features within agreed timelines.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and test generation.
- Stay aware of tools such as Cursor, ChatGPT, code review assistants, and automation/test harnesses.
- Review code, guide junior developers where needed, and follow engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ReactJS.
- Strong backend development experience - NodeJS and ExpressJS and Mongo.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, authentication, authorization, and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, and agile development practices.
- Practical awareness of AI-assisted development tools and responsible usage in software delivery.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
