Depending on the client situation, you could be playing the role of a technical advisor to senior client executives, guide and direct solution architecture for large technical programs of work or drive technical implementation hand-on with our delivery teams. Principal Developers also provide strategic and tactical leadership on accounts, establishing and maintaining trusted advisor status through high-impact client interactions. You bring 18+ years of technical leadership, providing the deep expertise and seasoned expertise necessary to navigate the complexities of large-scale digital transformations Strong engineering background with primary expertise in Java and additional exposure to Python. Candidates are expected to be technically hands-on with the ability to contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, solution design, and engineering best practices. Proven experience leading and managing large engineering teams and programs, including teams of 70+ members across delivery, engineering, and stakeholder functions. You are an active participant in the broader technical community, leveraging Open Source ecosystems not just as a consumer, but as a strategic contributor who understands the balance between community innovation and enterprise stability. You have a pulse on the AI evolution reshaping our industry. You don''t just follow the hype; you critically evaluate how emerging AI tools and methodologies can be harnessed to solve complex problems and drive meaningful efficiency. You possess a good understanding of the Banking domain or enough to have the ability pick up faster, navigating its unique regulatory landscapes and technical complexities with the same precision and care you apply to your code. You have a track record of managing the scope and shape of programs of work You have experience with account management, third party contractual agreements, client management pre-sales, client reporting and up-selling You are knowledge of delivery approaches such as TDD, continuous integration, pairing and infrastructure automation Professional
