Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Erection and Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in the Water and Wastewater Treatment industry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing site activities related to the erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute erection and commissioning activities for water and wastewater treatment plants as per project schedules.
- Supervise and coordinate with contractors and sub-contractors during installation and erection of plant equipment.
- Inspect, test, and verify the mechanical and electrical systems before and after commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during site execution.
- Prepare and maintain all erection and commissioning documentation including daily progress reports, installation checklists, and test reports.
- Coordinate with design and project management teams for technical clarifications and updates.
- Troubleshoot any mechanical, instrumentation, or process issues during commissioning phase.
- Train plant operations staff on process understanding and plant functioning post-commissioning.
- Ensure project timelines, quality, and cost standards are met effectively.
Candidate Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 5 to 10 years of proven experience in erection and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment plants (ETP/STP/WTP/RO/UF/MBR/DM plants, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of various water treatment processes and technologies.
- Ability to read and understand P&ID drawings, mechanical layouts, and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle site challenges independently.
- Willingness to travel to project locations across India or abroad as required.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PLC/SCADA-based control systems.
- Familiarity with HSE practices on project sites.
- Exposure to client interactions and handover documentation.
