Role & responsibilities
- System-Level Development: Write, maintain, and optimize high-performance, low-latency code using C++ and Rust.
- Platform Maintenance: Take ownership of the Edge Platform to ensure robust performance under high data loads and real-time processing conditions.
- Code Management: Handle day-to-day code checking, checkout, and version control processes cleanly and systematically.
- Problem Solving: Debug complex, system-level bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues across distributed edge systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely within an agile team environment, aligning with cloud and DevOps tracks for seamless deployments.
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience: 45 years of strong background in systems programming or software engineering.
- Core Programming: Exceptional, production-grade programming skills in C++.
- Rust Exposure: Familiarity with Rust or a strong interest and quick capability to adapt and write code in Rust (candidates with less/no professional Rust experience but solid C++ fundamentals are highly encouraged to apply).
- Core Fundamentals: Strong logical reasoning, excellent problem-solving skills, and a practical understanding of minimal/essential Data Structures.
- Tools & Code Management: Proficiency with GitHub and Jira for effective project tracking, branch management, and code check-in/checkout workflows.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of basic Edge Computing or IoT architectures.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
- Exposure to real-time data streaming or low-latency systems.
