Role & responsibilities
Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Windows/VMWare SME to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of Windows operating systems and a passion for learning and growing in the field of IT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must have extensive knowledge in Deploying and Managing ESX servers and Vcenter servers across globally as per standard.
- Managing and maintaining guest machines running on them.
- Troubleshooting ESX and making sure to have quality of Service is achieved.
- Working with VMware for the challenging issues and fixing it on time.
- Troubleshooting HA & DRS issues.
- Planning and performing P2V activities as part of server consolidation.
- Performing vmotion, Storage vmotion as part of daily work as needed.
- Following process requires to adhere to security compliance.
- Should be able to manage Hyper-V environment.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers and workstations.
- Monitor system performance and ensure the stability and security of Windows environments.
- Collaborate with senior team members to implement and manage Active Directory, Group Policy, AD Security Groups, GPO, and other Windows services.
- Stay updated with the latest Windows updates, patches, and best practices.
- DFS Management, Shared drive / Permission / Access management
- Hands-on Exp. On Microsoft / VMware clustering, DRS, FT, Cloning, Server Build / re-build Template. IIS Knowledge.
- Experience with Dell/HP hardware administration. ILO / DRAC
- Crash / blue / memory Dump analysis using example: Win Debug tool. Netmon, Perfmon
- Manage the SSL Certificate management platform
Required Skills:
- Azure Cloud (IAAS)
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Understanding of IT security principles and practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
