Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The Manual Tester will be responsible for validating software applications through functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing. The ideal candidate will identify defects, ensure product quality, and collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
- Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate with developers and business teams to resolve issues and validate fixes.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a quality perspective.
- Prepare test data and maintain testing environments.
- Create and maintain test documentation, test plans, and test execution reports.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Ensure applications meet business requirements, quality standards, and usability expectations.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Manual Tester, QA Analyst, or Software Tester.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience in creating and executing test cases and test plans.
- Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Quality Center.
- Good understanding of different testing methodologies and techniques.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent testing certification.
- Exposure to API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Understanding of web, mobile, and cross-browser testing.
- Basic knowledge of automation testing concepts.
