Role: Sr. Engineer/Technical Lead - MBD
Industry Type: Banking
Department: Research & Development
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
Role Category: Engineering & Manufacturing
UG: Any Graduate
PG: Any Postgraduate
Scope of Role
The CAE Engineer (MBD) is responsible for performing multibody dynamics simulations and calculations at both subsystem and full vehicle levels. This role involves building and assembling suspension systems and complete vehicle models within the MBD environment. The engineer analyses simulation results to derive meaningful engineering insights, identify performance issues, and provide clear conclusions and recommendations. These findings support product design decisions and ensure effective design verification against performance requirements.
Knowledge / Experience 3 to 12 years. Minimum 3 years in CAE preferably in passenger cars
Essential:
- Hands-on in MBD analysis: KnC, Ride Handling, Service Loads, RLDA, DOE
- Strong vehicle dynamics, suspension steering system knowledge
- Basic to advanced fatigue analysis (theory + practical)
- Knowledge of vehicle subsystems full vehicle behaviour
- Familiar with RLDA, DVPs, and vehicle testing
- Proficient in Adams/View Adams/Car
- Strong analytical engineering fundamentals
- Good MS Office project management skills
Preferred:
- Basic to advanced fatigue analysis (theory + practical)
- Exposure to MATLAB, FEA, optimization (preferred)
