We are looking for a Python Backend Developer to join our engineering organization and build highimpact, scalable, and distributed backend systems.
In this role, you will leverage your strong Python expertise along with modern frameworks and data pipeline tools to develop robust, high-performance applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient solutions.
What You'll Do:
Backend Development:
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Twisted
- Build and manage asynchronous, high-performance applications
- Develop and maintain APIs and backend logic for enterprise applications
Data & Event Processing:
- Develop and manage ETL workflows using Apache Airflow
- Implement real-time messaging and event-driven systems using Apache Kafka
- Ensure efficient data processing across distributed systems
System Design & Optimization:
- Contribute to system architecture, design discussions, and technical decision-making
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues
Collaboration:
- Work closely with product, DevOps, and engineering teams
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous delivery
- Support integration, testing, and deployment activities
What You'll Bring (Required Skills & Experience):
- 3+ years of professional experience in Python development
- Strong proficiency in Python programming
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Django, and/or Twisted frameworks
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and distributed systems
- Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and ETL pipelines
- Experience with Apache Kafka for real-time messaging and event-driven architecture
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
