Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Junior HR Executive to join our HR team at an IT services company. You will work across technical recruitment, HR operations, compliance, and employee engagement, supporting teams that deliver data engineering, cloud, analytics, and AI projects. This role suits someone with a basic understanding of HR functions, strong ownership, and a genuine willingness to learn how hiring and people operations work in a fast-moving technology environment
Key Responsibilities
Technical Recruitment
- Support end-to-end recruitment: requirement intake with hiring managers, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer rollout.
- Source candidates through Naukri, LinkedIn, internal database, employee referrals, and consultant/vendor channels.
- Screen resumes against technical requirements (e.g., Python, .NET, SQL, Azure, Power BI, React/Node.js) and build a working understanding of the roles you hire for.
- Maintain an accurate, de-duplicated candidate database and keep the ATS/tracker current at all times.
- Coordinate interview panels across internal teams and, where applicable, client-side rounds.
- Manage the offer-to-join window: track notice periods, stay in regular contact with offered candidates, flag buyback or drop-out risk early, and confirm date of joining.
- Support campus hiring drives and internship programmes.
HR Operations & Onboarding
- Run pre-onboarding: document collection, offer and appointment letters, background verification (BGV) coordination, and NDA/confidentiality sign-off.
- Coordinate Day-1 onboarding asset issuance, system and email access requests, induction scheduling, and buddy allocation.
- Maintain employee records, personnel files, and HRMS data with a high standard of accuracy.
- Support attendance, leave, timesheet, and HRMS-related activities.
- Provide payroll inputs (new joiners, exits, attendance, reimbursements, LOP) within monthly cut-off dates.
- Manage exit formalities: resignation acknowledgement, exit interviews, asset and access recovery, clearance, and full-and-final coordination.
Compliance & Documentation
- Support statutory compliance activities PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and Shops & Establishments (Maharashtra) requirements.
- Assist the Internal Committee with POSH Act awareness, training records, and documentation.
- Maintain audit-ready people records for client and certification audits (ISO 27001 / SOC 2), including joinermoverleaver access records and signed NDAs.
- Handle employee and candidate personal data confidentially and in line with the DPDP Act, 2023, and company data-protection policy.
- Draft HR letters, policy communications, and employee emails.
Employee Engagement & Support
- Help organise engagement activities, celebrations, training sessions, and team events.
- Support employer branding job posts, LinkedIn content, and careers-page updates in coordination with the marketing team.
- Act as a first point of contact for routine employee queries, escalating appropriately.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of HR processes, recruitment lifecycle, and Indian labour/statutory basics.
- Ability to read and understand technical job descriptions; willingness to learn common IT stacks and role terminology.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English (candidate-facing and written correspondence).
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and follow-up skills; comfortable chasing closure without being told twice.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, filters), MS Word, and MS Teams/Outlook.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment with parallel open roles.
- High integrity and discretion when handling confidential employee information.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, BBA, BMS, or a related field.
- MBA/PGDM in HR is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred (Added Advantage)
- Internship or up to 1 year of experience in HR or IT/technical recruitment.
- Hands-on exposure to an ATS or HRMS (Keka, Zoho People, greytHR, Darwinbox, or similar).
- Familiarity with Naukri and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Experience coordinating with recruitment consultants or staffing vendors.

- Improved recruitment turnaround time (TAT) on assigned roles.
- A strong offer-to-join ratio, with drop-out risks flagged in advance.
- Zero errors in payroll inputs and HRMS data.
- Onboarding and exit documentation completed within defined SLAs.
