Job Title: QA Automation Engineer (Java | Selenium | Playwright | API Testing) Company: AI Infotech Location: Chennai (Work from Office) Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: 02 Years About the Role AI Infotech is hiring a QA Automation Engineer to join our growing Quality Engineering team and work on enterprise applications for an onshore US client. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about automation testing, API validation, and delivering reliable, high-quality software products. You will work closely with QA Leads, Developers, and Product teams in an Agile environment while contributing to automation framework development and test execution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and execute automation test scripts using Java, Selenium, Playwright, and Karate Framework. Perform API testing and validation using Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI. Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. Create reusable automation components and improve existing test frameworks. Identify, document, and track defects through complete resolution. Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, estimation, and Agile ceremonies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC. Continuously improve test coverage, execution speed, and automation efficiency.
Required Skills
Strong understanding of Core Java fundamentals. Hands-on knowledge of Selenium Automation. Exposure to Playwright and/or Karate Framework. Experience in API Testing (Postman, Swagger). Good understanding of Manual Testing concepts and SDLC/STLC. Knowledge of test design techniques and defect lifecycle. Basic understanding of SQL/database validation. Familiarity with Git and CI/CD concepts is an advantage. Exposure to TypeScript is a plus.
Qualification
BachelorÆs degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering or related field. 0û2 years of experience in QA Automation / Software Testing. Freshers with strong automation projects and testing fundamentals can also apply.
