About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented State Head Life & Health Insurance to lead and drive the Agency Channel business across the state. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering sustainable business growth while ensuring profitability, business quality, and operational excellence. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing sales teams.
Key Responsibilities

  • Drive overall sales performance and business growth for the assigned state through the Agency Channel.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor regional sales teams to consistently achieve business targets.
  • Focus on improving profitability, persistency, and overall business quality.
  • Monitor business performance through effective sales MIS, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key agency partners and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Identify business opportunities and implement initiatives to enhance productivity and customer acquisition.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to drive business strategy.
  • Take ownership of recruitment, development, and retention of sales leadership within the state.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum 12-14+ years of overall experience in the insurance industry.
  • At least 6+ years of experience in a leadership role managing large sales teams.
  • Mandatory experience in the Agency Channel within the Life Insurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of Life & Health Insurance products and distribution models.
  • Proven focus on profitability, persistency, and business quality.
  • Strong understanding of Sales MIS, business reporting, and performance analytics.
  • Excellent decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and drive sustainable business growth.
  • A consistent track record of long-term contribution and high performance in previous organizations is preferred.
  • Candidates who have demonstrated career progression through promotions and increased responsibilities within the same organization will be preferred.
