Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage payroll processing for employees in the US, Canada, regions.
- Coordinate with HR teams to resolve employee queries related to payroll matters.
- Provide support for global payroll initiatives such as 401K plans.
Mandatory Skills:
- Knowledge of Canadian/US payroll.
- Off-cycle processing
- Garnishments
- Fedral and provencial taxes
- SIN/SSN
- How do you calculate CPP/QPP, EI/QPIP -
- Pension
- Pre Tax Post Tax
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
- 3+ years experience in payroll processing and administration.
- Expertise in federal and state payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.
- Solid understanding of payroll principles/ duties.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process payroll complete due diligence of the payroll process and non payroll calendar activities
- Identify pain points and improvement opportunities.
- Analyze and identify risks to payroll and work on the mitigation plan/ corrections
- Work as per current SOP adequacy and identify SOP gaps
