Position Summary
The Revenue Assurance Intern will support the Revenue Assurance team in ensuring accurate billing, minimizing revenue leakage, and improving charge capture processes across hospital operations. The intern will gain exposure to hospital billing workflows, audits, clinical documentation review, and revenue cycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting daily and periodic revenue assurance audits.
- Verify patient billing against clinical documentation to identify missed or incorrect charges.
- Support the review of charge capture processes across IP, OP, OT, ICU, Diagnostics, Pharmacy, and other revenue-generating departments.
- Prepare audit reports and maintain revenue variance trackers.
- Assist in identifying revenue leakages and recommending corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Billing, Operations, Nursing, and Clinical departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Support data analysis using Excel and hospital information systems (HIS).
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance billing accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient and financial information.
- Perform other assignments as delegated by the Revenue Assurance team.
Eligibility
- Final-year or recently completed Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, or Business Administration.
- MBA/MHA students (Finance/Healthcare Management) preferred.
