SOFTWARE ENGINEER SAP WM / EWM
ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Software Engineer û SAP WM/EWM, you will be responsible for understanding business requirements and translating them into SAP Warehouse Management (WM) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) configurations and enhancements that support operational excellence across our global supply chain.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP WM and/or SAP EWM, with exposure to implementation, enhancements, production support, testing, and integration with other SAP logistics modules. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams across regions while supporting warehouse operations and continuous improvements.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 1û4 years of experience in SAP WM and/or SAP EWM as a Functional Consultant or Techno-Functional Consultant.
- Hands-on experience in SAP WM and SAP EWM implementations, rollouts, enhancements, or production support projects.
- Experience with warehouse management, inventory management, and logistics execution processes.
- Experience working in a Global Delivery Model or Global Technology Center is an added advantage.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of SAP WM and SAP EWM configuration and customization.

- Outbound Processing
- Internal Warehouse Movements
- Putaway Strategies
- Picking Strategies
- Stock Transfers
- Physical Inventory
- Experience in Warehouse Task and Warehouse Order Management (EWM).
- Experience with SAP WM concepts including Transfer Orders, Storage Types, Storage Bins, Quant Management, and Inventory Management.
- Knowledge of integration between SAP EWM/WM and SAP MM, SD, PP, QM, and LE modules.
- Experience working with RF Framework, Warehouse Monitor, and warehouse execution processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and support incident resolution.
- Experience in preparing Functional Specifications (FS) for RICEFW developments.
- Experience working with Agile delivery models and global teams.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM or Decentralized EWM.
- Knowledge of migration from SAP WM to SAP EWM.
- Exposure to automation in warehouse operations and third-party logistics (3PL) integrations.
- Exposure to SAP TM or other Supply Chain modules.
- Basic ABAP debugging knowledge for functional analysis.
- SAP WM or SAP EWM Certification is preferred.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery & Execution
- Analyze business requirements and configure SAP WM and SAP EWM solutions.
- Develop functional designs and support technical teams during development.
- Configure warehouse management processes in SAP WM and SAP EWM.
- Conduct unit testing and support SIT and UAT.
- Prepare configuration documents, functional specifications, test scripts, and user documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with IT standards, documentation, and change management processes.
Support & Enablement
- Provide production support for SAP WM and SAP EWM applications.
- Resolve incidents and perform root cause analysis for warehouse-related issues.
- Support continuous improvements and warehouse process optimization.
- Work closely with global business users to align system capabilities with operational requirements.
- Stay updated on SAP warehouse management best practices and emerging technologies.
