The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of routing, switching, and network security, along with relevant Cisco certifications.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks. Handle routing and switching (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, STP). Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and reliability. Manage and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, and network security devices. Support and handle P1/P2 incidents, including bridge calls and escalations. Perform network changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities. Work with cross-functional teams for issue resolution and deployments. Maintain proper documentation, diagrams, and incident updates. Ensure adherence to SLA and operational processes.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Cisco networking (CCNA level minimum). Hands-on experience with switching, routing, and troubleshooting. Experience with network monitoring tools. Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT. Exposure to firewalls (Cisco/Checkpoint/Palo Alto preferred). Ability to handle high-pressure incidents (P1/P2).
Preferred Skills
CCNP certification or equivalent experience. Experience in data center networks and cloud networking (AWS/Azure). Knowledge of Infoblox, load balancers, and network automation is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to work in 24x7 support environment (if required). Good documentation and reporting skills.
