About the Role
CSC Travel Services is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth across existing and new travel business verticals. The role will be responsible for managing and expanding travel-related services including IRCTC Railway Ticketing, Flight Booking, Bus Booking, SRTC Services, Holiday Packages, Visa Services, Forex Services, Hotel Booking, Travel Insurance, and other emerging travel solutions.
The candidate will be responsible for business growth, partner management, revenue generation, operational coordination, process improvement, and launching new travel products and services through the CSC network.
Role & responsibilities
Business Growth & Revenue Management
- Drive business growth across all CSC Travel Services verticals.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase transaction volumes and revenue.
- Monitor business performance, identify growth opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Existing Business Management
- Oversee ongoing businesses including:
- IRCTC Railway Ticketing
- Domestic & International Flight Booking
- Bus & SRTC Ticketing
- Holiday Packages
- Visa Services
- Forex Services
- Hotel Booking
- Travel Insurance
- Analyze business trends and recommend improvements to increase adoption and profitability.
- Ensure smooth operational coordination between internal teams, partners, and service providers.
New Business Development
- Identify and evaluate new travel-related business opportunities.
- Engage with suppliers, aggregators, airlines, bus operators, visa partners, forex partners, and tourism boards.
- Lead negotiations, commercial discussions, and onboarding of new partners.
- Prepare business proposals, financial models, and project plans for new initiatives.
Partner & Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with travel suppliers and strategic partners.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and service-level commitments.
- Monitor partner performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
CSC Network Engagement
- Work closely with CSC State Teams and VLEs to drive adoption of travel services.
- Design incentive programs and business campaigns.
- Conduct webinars, training sessions, and awareness programs for VLEs.
Operations & Process Improvement
- Coordinate with technology, finance, operations, and customer support teams.
- Improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Define and implement SOPs for travel services.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Travel & Tourism, Management, Marketing, or related field.
- MBA preferred.
- 510 years of experience in Travel, Tourism, Online Travel Agencies (OTA), Business Development, Partnerships, or Travel Operations.
