Role & responsibilities :


Yamaha is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Solution Architect to drive the architecture, governance, and strategic evolution of its global ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ITSM, Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), and IT Operations Management (ITOM) while establishing a scalable architecture that supports future adoption of additional ServiceNow modules.

The architect will play a key role in defining the platform roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, enabling integrations with regional ITSM platforms, and supporting Yamaha's vision of a unified global ServiceNow ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Platform Strategy

  • Define and maintain the overall ServiceNow architecture for Yamaha's global instance.
  • Design scalable solutions across ITSM, SPM, and ITOM while ensuring future readiness for additional ServiceNow modules.
  • Establish architectural standards, governance processes, and platform best practices.
  • Evaluate new ServiceNow capabilities and recommend adoption strategies aligned with business objectives.

Global Platform & Integration Strategy

  • Design and govern integrations between the global ServiceNow platform and local/regional ITSM systems.
  • Define long-term architecture to support expansion into additional ServiceNow products and enterprise applications.
  • Ensure data consistency, interoperability, and scalable integration patterns across the ecosystem.

Technical Leadership & Governance

  • Provide architectural guidance to developers, administrators, and implementation partners.
  • Define coding standards, deployment methodologies, release management practices, and development governance.
  • Review solution designs and configurations to ensure compliance with ServiceNow best practices.
  • Drive platform performance, maintainability, security, and upgrade readiness.

Documentation & Roadmap Management

  • Prepare and maintain architecture diagrams covering:
    • Current state architecture
    • Target state architecture
    • Integration landscape
    • Platform roadmap and future expansion plans
  • Create and maintain architectural decision records, design documents, and governance standards.

Solution Advisory & Pre-Sales Support

  • Evaluate new business requirements through feasibility assessments and fit-gap analysis, considering platform capabilities, scalability, and integration impacts.
  • Recommend the most suitable technical solution and architecture approach aligned with ServiceNow best practices and Yamaha's global platform strategy.
  • Support solution estimation, proposal preparation, and roadmap planning for new initiatives and enhancements.

Required Experience

  • 8+ years of relevant ServiceNow experience with at least 2 years in a Solution Architect role.
  • Strong hands-on and architectural expertise in:
    • IT Service Management (ITSM)
    • Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)
    • IT Operations Management (ITOM)
  • Experience designing and managing enterprise-scale, multi-country ServiceNow implementations.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • CMDB and Service Mapping
    • Integration Hub
    • REST/SOAP APIs
    • Flow Designer
    • Platform Governance
  • Experience developing scalable integration strategies across multiple enterprise systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA)

Key Expectations

  • Establish Yamaha's long-term ServiceNow architecture and platform roadmap.
  • Implement and promote development, deployment, and governance best practices.
  • Ensure the platform remains scalable for future module adoption and global expansion.
  • Provide architectural oversight for current implementations and future transformation initiatives.
  • Act as the primary architectural advisor for all major ServiceNow initiatives across Yamaha's global ecosystem.
