Roles and Responsibilities
Automation Strategy: Lead automation initiatives, develop and maintain test frameworks, and integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline Advocate best automation practices and mentor junior testers. Test Planning and Execution: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and API testing. Maintain test suites and ensure high coverage of critical business features Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with QA leads, developers, PMs, and DevOps teams to drive automation efforts. Lead onshore/offshore QA teams and manage day-to-day testing operations Analysis and Reporting: Analyze technical and functional requirements, review logs, debug failures, and maintain defect tracking systems. Provide accurate reporting of automated test results and quality metrics Agile and Continuous Improvement: Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, review code and test scripts, and continuously improve automation frameworks and testing processes Preferred candidate profile : A strong educational background for a Selenium automation testing candidate typically includes a degree in computer science, IT, or related fields, along with additional courses or certifications in Java and automation testing to enhance employability A preferred candidate for Java Selenium automation testing with 3-10 years of experience should have strong expertise in Java, Selenium WebDriver, test automation frameworks, API testing, and Agile development, combined with leadership and collaboration capabilities.
