Your role and responsibilities
Job Title: L2 Network Engineer
Role Summary
Provide 24x7 network support from NOC, manage network operations, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth and secure network performance.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor network alerts and resolve incidents
Support L1 team and escalate to L3 when needed
Troubleshoot routing, switching, configuration, and hardware issues
Manage network devices across HO, DC/DR, and branches
Handle configuration changes, upgrades, and patches
Ensure backup links and network availability
Coordinate with telecom vendors for link-related activities
Maintain network assets, IP management, and documentation
Participate in DR drills and emergency response
Fix audit findings and ensure SLA compliance
Requirements
Qualification Post graduate/Graduate/Diploma
Experience Minimum 5 Years in handling network operations centre
CCNP (Routing & Switching) or equivalent
SD-WAN certification (preferred)
Experience with Cisco/Juniper/network devices
Basic troubleshooting and network operations knowledge
Ability to work in 24x7 shifts
Certifications:

Knowledge of ITIL (Incident, Problem, Change Management)

Required technical and professional expertise
? Exposure to Networking Products: Familiarity with installation, maintenance, and repair of Networking products, such as Cisco, Juniper, and Teradata, including understanding of the technology, operating systems, and associated software.
? Experience Working with Technical Tools: Knowledge of IBM tools, such as Cognitive Support Platform (Salesforce) and Watson Einstein Analytics, to drive automation and improve effectiveness of client operations.
? Understanding of IT Engineering: Basic understanding of installation, customization, operation, recovery, tuning, and information technology engineering concepts.
? Familiarity with Hybrid Cloud Environments: Exposure to onsite Infrastructure Services, maintenance, and consultancy for Hybrid Cloud client environments.
? Basic Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve basic technical issues related to installation, update, configuration, operations, or performance of Networking products.
Preferred technical and professional experience
? Familiarity with IT Service Management: Exposure to IT service management principles and practices, including problem management, incident management, and change management, is beneficial for this role.
? Knowledge of Cloud Computing: Understanding of cloud computing concepts, including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS), can be advantageous in providing technical support for Hybrid Cloud client environments.
? Exposure to Data Analytics: Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques, such as data visualization and predictive analytics, can be helpful in analyzing and resolving technical issues related to Networking products.
