Own the end-to-end backend solution architecture for D365 Commerce and FinOps implementations from discovery through go-live and post-production support
Lead requirement-gathering workshops with retail/business stakeholders and translate requirements into scalable technical architecture
Define integration architecture between D365 Commerce, Finance & Operations (X++), Retail Server APIs, and external systems, payment gateways, loyalty platforms, PIM, e-commerce storefronts, shipping/fulfillment providers
Design loyalty and rewards architecture? native D365 loyalty configuration vs. third-party loyalty platform integration, point/tier sync strategy, and redemption performance at scale
Establish coding standards, ALM/DevOps governance, and branching/deployment strategy across Dev/Test/UAT/Production using Azure DevOps and LCS
Define data architecture for pricing, discounts, promotions, tax, and inventory across channels, ensuring consistency between HQ and real-time channel operations
Guide and mentor Commerce backend developers on CRT/X++ design patterns, code reviews, and performance tuning
Create and maintain Solution Architecture Documents (SAD), Technical Design Documents (TDD), and integration blueprints specific to Commerce
14+ years of experience in Dynamics 365 Commerce/Retail (AX Retail or D365 Commerce) implementations, with at least 3+ years in an architect role
Deep, hands-on expertise in X++ and the Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations development framework
