Role summary
The Renewable Energy Integration Expert translates demand modelling and carbon-reduction pathways into an actionable, procurement-ready energy supply architecture. This is a senior, hands-on techno-commercial role spanning hybrid RE system design, BESS integration, 24/7 clean-supply matching, PPA structuring, and open-access regulatory economics. Given the depth of procurement and regulatory work involved, the role is pitched at the same seniority as the Team Lead.
Key responsibilities
- Lead load forecasting, demand-supply balancing and profiling, and hybrid renewable energy system integration design for venues, the Athletes Village, IBC/MPC, and ancillary facilities.
- Optimise the RE portfolio across on-site rooftop/canopy solar, utility-scale solar via GUVNL open access (e.g., Dholera Solar Park), wind, and short-term procurement options.
- Design 24/7 hourly (15-minute interval) demand-supply matching verified through the Green Power Verification Instrument Registry.
- Size and integrate BESS for peak shaving, RE firming, and ancillary services; design battery / green-hydrogen fuel-cell backup to replace diesel gensets.
- Structure direct open-access PPAs, GUVNL green tariff, and virtual PPAs; assess GERC rules on wheeling charges, banking provisions, and cross-subsidy surcharge.
- Prepare competitive RFPs with bid-evaluation criteria and provide negotiation and PPA execution support.
- Conduct resource adequacy and portfolio optimisation analysis, including techno-economic feasibility of storage.
Required qualifications
- 6+ years in load forecasting, demand-supply balancing/profiling, hybrid RE system integration design, generation load profile matching on hourly basis, resource adequacy, and portfolio optimisation.
- Battery energy storage integration, application design, and techno-economic feasibility.
- Hybrid renewable energy procurement (FDRE, Solar-Wind-BESS) and PPA structuring, EPC review, RE project structuring / business models, concept to commissioning transaction advisory for RE project / 100% RE procurement
- Green energy open-access frameworks and regulatory economics ? preferably Gujarat?s landscape (GERC/GUVNL).
Preferred attributes
- B.Tech + MBA; consulting or RE developer-side / EPC roles.
- Familiarity with CERC/GERC regulations, open access, and green tariff mechanisms.
