Backend (Node.js & NestJS) + APIGEE Developer - 2 to 4 Years
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop end to end backend design and development using Node.js (NestJS)
- Design, develop, and manage API integrations using Apigee (Edge / Apigee X).
- Build APIs to support insurance lifecycle processes quote, policy issuance, endorsement, renewal, claims, cancellation.
- Integrate APIs with insurance core systems, third party providers (TPAs, garages, hospitals), and partner platforms.
- Implement compliance-ready APIs adhering to insurance regulatory standards.
- Develop REST APIs to expose data stored in PostgreSQL databases.
- Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys.
- Configure traffic management: Spike Arrest, Quota, Rate Limiting.
- Handle transformations (JSON XML) between internal insurance systems.
- Utilize Apigee Analytics to monitor API usage across insurance products.
- Deploy and manage APIs on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Support CI/CD pipelines for API deployments.
- Troubleshoot production issues related to insurance integrations.
- Document APIs using OpenAPI / Swagger.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and issue resolution for backend components
- Follow coding standards, security best practices, and documentation guidelines
Education:
BE/ B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Required Experience & Skills:
- 2 to 4 Years of strong experience as backend developer with node.js (NestJS) and APIGEE Development.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and relational database optimization
- Core API & Integration: Apigee Edge / Apigee X, RESTful API design (API first), API Gateway implementation, Shared Flows & Flow Hooks, Error handling & fault rules, API versioning & lifecycle management
- API Security: OAuth 2.0 (Client Credentials, Password, JWT Bearer), JWT validation, API Key management, Threat protection & security policies
- Cloud & Platform: Google Cloud Platform GCP, IAM, KMS, SSL/TLS, Secret Manager
- CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, DevOps
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, CloudFormation
- Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
- Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
- Scripting & Automation: Bash, Python
- Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab
- Operating Systems: Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS)
- Networking Fundamentals: VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, Load Balancers
- Artifact & Dependency Management: Nexus, Artifactory
- Preferred General Insurance domain knowledge in health/motor/travel insurance.
