PURPOSE This job description outlines the key responsibilities of the Sales Manager in driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, guest relationship management, and business development across all relevant segments. The role focuses on identifying and converting business opportunities, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. It involves leading the sales team, maintaining a strong pipeline, and aligning sales efforts with the property s brand positioning, service standards, and financial objectives. Reports to: Director of Sales & Marketing Interacts with: External Corporate clients, event organizers, travel agents, wedding planners, travel consortiums, government bodies, OTA partners Internal Functional Heads, Revenue & Reservations, Marketing, Front Office, F&B, Banquet Operations, Finance, Legal, and Hotel Operations teams KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Drive Operational Excellence Manage the full sales cycle for rooms, MICE, weddings, and events from lead generation to conversion and post-event feedback. Ensure timely follow-ups, proposal submissions, site inspections, and client presentations with accuracy and professionalism. Develop and implement detailed sales action plans for corporate, leisure, and group segments. Maintain an active database of key accounts and conduct regular account management reviews. Collaborate with the marketing team to roll out promotions and campaigns that align with the property s positioning. Applied Learning Stay updated with industry trends, competitor offerings, and evolving client expectations in luxury sales. Lead weekly knowledge-sharing sessions to upskill the sales team on market shifts, brand standards, and selling techniques. Review and optimize sales processes through performance analytics, conversion data, and client feedback. Participate in travel trade shows, roadshows, and sales missions to expand the hotel s reach in key markets. Leadership Establish a culture of goal ownership, result orientation, and client-centricity within the sales team. Plan to be a part of weekly sales briefings, forecasting sessions, and pipeline reviews to align performance with business goals. Mentor junior sales professionals by offering structured learning, career guidance, and real-time feedback. People Management Hire, onboard, and train sales team members ensuring alignment with brand values and sales competencies. Conduct regular performance evaluations, set KRAs, and identify development opportunities for each team member. Foster collaboration across departments (banquets, revenue, F&B) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction. Business & Financial Acumen Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets for rooms, banquets, and ancillary services. Support budgeting, forecasting, and rate strategy in coordination with revenue and finance teams. Optimize profitability by focusing on high-yield business, managing discounting, and monitoring conversion metrics. Conduct yield and pace analysis to provide data-driven insights for pricing and inventory controls Compliance & Risk Management Ensure all contracts and agreements are in line with legal, brand, and financial compliance standard Review client credit profiles, track receivables, and liaise with finance for billing accuracy. Maintain data integrity in the CRM system and ensure confidentiality and security of client information. Monitor adherence to brand guidelines, anti-bribery policies, and ethical selling practices. Responsibilities

Implement and monitor OH&S protocols across recreation facilities and events. Conduct regular safety drills and ensure emergency equipment is functional and accessible. Train staff on fire safety, first aid, and security measures. Investigate and report all incidents and take preventive action to mitigate future risks. JOB REQUIREMENTS Degree/Diploma from an accredited university in Hotel Management, Event Management; Specialized certifications in Sales, Revenue Management, or CRM tools preferred WORK EXPERIENCE 5 years or more experience in hospitality, preferably with luxury hospitality
