Position: Logistics Executive

Work Location: GMR Aerospace Park, Shamshabad, Hyderabad

Experience Required: 5 to 6 Years


Job Summary

The Logistics Executive will be responsible for managing import logistics operations, SEZ-related transactions, customs clearance activities, freight forwarding coordination, and compliance with regulatory and organizational procedures. The role requires strong knowledge of SAP, SEZ regulations, import documentation, customs processes, and supply chain coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Import & Freight Forwarding Operations

  • Coordinate import shipments with freight forwarders and ensure timely movement of goods.
  • Follow up with freight forwarding agencies, customs brokers, and clearing agents for shipment status.
  • Arrange pickup and delivery coordination with Project Management (PM) teams, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Customs House Agents (CHA).
  • Monitor import shipments from origin until delivery to customer locations and SEZ units.

SEZ Operations & Compliance

  • Handle SEZ transactions, including:
    • DTA (Domestic Tariff Area) procurement
    • DSPF transactions
    • Temporary removals
    • Job work transactions
    • Other SEZ-related activities
  • Manage day-to-day SEZ operational activities and reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with SEZ Customs Authorities and obtain necessary approvals efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with SEZ regulations and customs requirements.

Customs Clearance & Documentation

  • Coordinate with customs brokers, CHAs, and customs authorities for smooth clearance of imported goods.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain import-related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO procedures related to import operations.
  • Maintain accurate records for audit and regulatory purposes.

Financial & Administrative Activities

  • Verify and submit logistics and customs-related bills to the Accounts Department for payment processing.
  • Maintain records of invoices, duty payments, and logistics expenses.

Audit & Compliance Management

  • Support internal and external audits related to import and logistics activities.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, customs regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare audit documentation and reports as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 5 to 6 years of experience in logistics, import-export operations, or supply chain management.
  • Education: Must be a Graduate.
  • Strong knowledge of SEZ regulations and customs procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and report preparation.
  • Good understanding of ISO procedures related to import operations.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal teams.
