We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Subsea Pipeline Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, India. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of relevant industry experience in the design, engineering, analysis, manufacture, installation, and operation of subsea pipelines and associated equipment.
Roles and Responsibility
- Provide advanced design verification support for Chevron projects worldwide.
- Assist with pipeline concept development, pre-FEED, FEED, risk assessments, detailed design, procurements, fabrication, qualification testing, installation, pre-commissioning, and creating integrity management plans.
- Support and manage bidding processes, evaluate contractor proposals, assess their technical capabilities, and supervise their execution when necessary.
- Conduct regular and advanced analyses, covering shallow and deepwater scenarios, including rigid and flexible pipeline systems designed for a wide spectrum of design conditions.
- Review and develop technical specifications, provide clarifications and exceptions to suppliers and contractors, and oversee design, manufacturing, and installation plans.
- Maintain and improve Chevron pipeline-related specifications, consolidating lessons learned, and participate in innovation, technology development, and deployment, and continuous improvement in pipeline systems.
- Engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration, participate in industry technical bodies, and influence industry standards and best practices.
- Support risk evaluations, implement mitigation and remediation strategies, including life extension and root cause assessment, and foster a culture focused on safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Experience in reviewing Design basis, performing and interpreting analyses results, installation, maintenance, and operation procedures for subsea pipelines (rigid and flexibles).
- Demonstrated understanding of pipe capacity, basis of acceptance criteria, analysis, impact of limiting states, buckling, and fatigue behaviors during installation, operation, VIV, wave motion, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of pipeline-related industry codes and standards along with lessons learned and best practices related to subsea pipelines and flowlines.
- Familiarity and use of relevant subsea pipeline software that includes Orcaflex, Offpipe, DnV, and relevant engineering programs.
- Advanced knowledge of Finite Element Analyses and either ANSYS or ABAQUS programs applied to pipeline engineering.
- Involved in the development of new technologies, able to identify risks in their potential applications, developed appropriate risk management strategies, and participated in the commercialization and deployment processes.
