Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Python development and L3/L4 Production Support. The ideal candidate should have experience in maintaining and supporting mission-critical applications, automating operational processes, troubleshooting production issues, and driving system reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L3/L4 production support for business-critical applications, ensuring high availability and system stability.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python to improve operational efficiency.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production incidents within defined SLAs.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurring issues.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure smooth deployments and production readiness.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
- Manage production releases, patch deployments, and environment configurations.
- Participate in on-call support and incident management activities.
- Document operational procedures, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Python programming.
- Proven experience in L3/L4 Production Support for enterprise applications.
- Good understanding of DevOps principles and production operations.
- Experience with Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
- Experience in incident management, problem management, and change management processes.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation).
- Exposure to Kafka, REST APIs, or microservices architecture.
- ITIL certification or experience working in ITIL-based environments.
