Job Title : AM Packaging

Experience (No. of Years): 6-10 years

Qualification: IIP, B.Tech


Industry Background: Packaging department from any FMCG, Retail, Beauty & Personal Care, Health & Wellness, Food & Beverages Industry


1.0 Position Summary:

Responsible for the sourcing, cost negotiation, and procurement of packaging materials, as well as the development and innovation of packaging solutions in alignment with product and branding requirements. This role ensures optimal quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely availability of packaging materials


2.0 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Procurement & Vendor Management:

? Source and procure packaging materials (e.g., bottles, cartons, labels, tube, foils).

  • Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers based on quality, cost delivery, and compliance.
    • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
    • Maintain vendor performance records and drive continuous improvement.

2. Packaging Development:

  • Coordinate with R&D, NPD and TPM for new packaging development.
    • Create packaging specifications and ensure they meet functional, aesthetic, and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage prototype development, testing (e.g., drop test, compatibility), and approval process.
    • Suggest sustainable and cost-effective packaging alternatives.

3 Cost & Inventory Control:

  • Monitor packaging material cost trends and propose cost- saving initiatives.
    • Collaborate with planning to maintain optimal inventory levels at TPM,
    • Work with TPM to ensure accurate and timely payments to PM vendors

4. Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure packaging materials comply with applicable regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
    • Maintain proper documentation including SOPs, specifications, and Test reports and maintain record.
    • Coordinate with quality control for incoming material inspection and approvals

5. Cross-functional Coordination:

  • Liaise with TPM, Quality, and NPD teams for packaging project execution.
